The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Early Learning Center proudly opened on June 24, 2024, at 313 Blane Drive. Our center is home to Inspire Early Learning Academy, serving children ages 2–5, along with CCPS Preschool. Led by Principal Kim Lint, our dedicated team of more than 80 staff members is committed to providing high-quality early learning and child care services to families throughout Hopkinsville and Christian County. For added safety and peace of mind, CCPS Police Officers are also on campus daily.

At the Early Learning Center, Inspire Early Learning Academy serves families connected to CCPS, Jennie Stuart Hospital, and various business and industry partners. We currently operate 13 childcare classrooms designed to support children ages 2 through 5. Our full-service cafeteria provides breakfast, lunch, and a daily snack for every child in our care.

The Christian County Public Schools Preschool program at the ELC includes five certified teachers and ten Instructional Assistants who support 3- and 4-year-old students with identified delays, as well as 4-year-olds who meet income eligibility requirements. We are excited to also offer tuition-based enrollment for 4-year-olds who exceed income limits. Because we share a campus with Inspire Early Learning Academy, we are able to provide preschool opportunities to families whose children are enrolled in childcare. Currently, 32 children benefit from a unique blended schedule, spending half of their day in Inspire and half in Preschool.

This collaborative partnership between Inspire instructors and certified teachers creates an exciting opportunity to strengthen services, enhance learning experiences, and meet the diverse needs of every child. We look forward to continuing to build a nurturing, engaging, and supportive environment where all students can thrive.
